covid- 19 faqs

Camp is not a risk-free environment, but with our staffs’ commitment to implement the guidelines set forth by the New York State Department of Health and CDC to minimize risks, we are looking forward to providing campers with a safe and fun summer camp experience.

Our procedures follow preventative measures and are designed to be flexible, so that we can adapt and refine our responses. We will change our policies as guidance changes as well. Please stay tuned to the CDC website to keep up with the latest guidelines.

Q: Is my child required to wear a mask even if they are vaccinated?

As of now children will be required to wear masks regardless of their vaccination. As we get closer to the camp, this guidance could possibly change based on the state and federal guidelines.

Q: Is my child required to get the vaccine?

No. Children will not be required to get the vaccine unless guidelines force us to make this change.

Q: Are children grouped by pods?

Children are grouped according to grades and stay with the same pod throughout the regular day schedule. Children who stay for the extended day period might be combined with another group from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. If they do combine for extended day, it would be with the same group every day.

Q: Will there be a health check and screening?

As of now we will ask parents to fill out a similar health screening form that we used last year.  We are hoping this requirement will be changed and not necessary by the summer.

Q: Are the staff going to be vaccinated?

Yes. All Staff members will be required to be vaccinated for Covid-19.

Q: What if my child gets sick? What are the quarantine protocols?

We will be using the most updated protocols and will update them as we get closer to the camp.  A camp orientation will go over all procedures and protocols in June.

Q: Are we eligible for credit or a refund if my child cannot attend due to COVID reasons?

If schools are closed or we cannot operate our camp for any reason including Covid-19, you are entitled to a full refund.

If you choose to not attend camp, you are able to request a refund by May 31st, 2022 and will receive a refund of your payment minus $100 cancellation fee.

Q: Will most activities be indoors or outdoors?

Most activities will be indoors but we are working on schedules to get students outside as much as possible.

Q: How will snack and meal time work?

We will continue to use guidance from state and federal guidelines in regards to meals.  Times will be staggered and social distancing will be enforced to those guidelines.
