CAPA after-school program runs from 2:40 PM to 6:00 PM. Students start after-school with a healthy snack, followed by homework help and recreational activities. We operate based on the school calendar schedule. Please check the NYC DOE school year calendar for more information.

CAPA After School Program at PS 24Q provides a safe and nurturing environment to help students from grades Kindergarten through 5th grade with their homework. We believe in creating a balanced experience for all students, so our program consists of daily snacks provided by the DOE, homework help, recreational activities, and extra academic assistance. Our small class sizes, averaging 10:1 student to instructor ratio per classroom, assures that every student receives the support they need.
Our dedicated teachers not only check that all homework is completed daily, but also ensure that the students understand all the assignments. If there is extra time after all homework is completed, students have the opportunity for recreational and group activities, such as outdoor play, sports, beads & lanyard, and arts & crafts. Students in need of academic support will also receive extra help during this time.
